Welcome to The Cost of Chaos: Art by Kat Fury

I am Kat Fury, a freelance artist who has spent the last several years on a mission to heal the wounds of my past trauma so I could find peace. In that journey, The Cost of Chaos was born. After being laid off during the pandemic, I had time to freely explore being creative again and with the encouragement of my loved ones, I was convinced to give an art career a proper chance. After a couple years of extensive trial and error as well as honing my skills, you can now find me at events around the valley selling my creations. I am also available to be booked for cosplay appearances, scare acting, canvas classes, mural work and art commissions. I sincerely couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life now and it has lead me to meet some of the best people I have ever known. Thank you so much for being here and supporting my work.

  • I currently offer an array of various ceramics, acrylic and mixed medium paintings, sculptures, upcycled artwork, jewelry and more.

  • Cosplay is one of my passions that developed as a result of my early ambitions to work in the entertainment industry creating monsters and special effects. I can be found attending conventions around the valley showcasing my creations and working with my photographer to document my work. I am available for cosplay appearance bookings for events as well as a scare actor at haunts and attractions. I look forward to continuing to expand my portfolio and getting to meet more people as I make appearances at events. If you see me at a convention don’t hesitate to come say hi! I love taking pictures and hearing the wonderful feedback on my cosplay work.

  • I do much more than just sell artwork and do cosplay! I also have a show in the works called Retrograde along with my photographer, Joey, where we screen and review B movies as well as recreate looks from the movies we watch using my cosplay work and Joey’s photography and videography skills. This is a passion project that we have put an intense amount of hard work into developing. Watch the early release test episodes on our YouTube channel and look forward to the show’s full release later this year!
